Avocado for babies

  • From 6 months

Avocado is a soft fruit you can introduce once your baby shows signs of being ready for solids, usually around 6 months. Major health organizations recommend starting solids at about 6 months, though guidance varies slightly.

Avocado provides fat (mostly monounsaturated), fiber, potassium, and vitamin E.

Avocado isn’t considered a major food allergen. However, people with a latex allergy may cross-react to avocado. Individual reactions are possible.
