Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Feeding Start
Version 1.0 | 16 September 2026
1. About This Policy
This Policy explains how the Feeding Start mobile application (the “App”) handles consumer health data of residents of the United States. It is written for the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada Senate Bill 370, the consumer health data provisions of the Connecticut Data Privacy Act and similar state laws.
This Policy supplements the Privacy Policy, which describes all other personal data processed in the App: https://feedingstart.com/en/privacy/
The App is provided by Aleksey Trubnikov (Трубников Алексей), Armenia (“we”, “us”). Contact: feedingstart@gmail.com.
The App is intended for adult parents and legal guardians. Information about a child's health is entered by an adult, and we treat it as consumer health data of that adult and of the child.
2. Consumer Health Data We Collect
- Allergy entries: foods you mark as having caused an allergic reaction in your child, including an allergy outcome recorded for a food introduction.
- Complementary feeding diary: food introduction plans, dates, daily entries, whether your child liked a food, and the outcome of each introduction.
- Lists of foods your child has been introduced to.
- Menus you plan or generate in the App, which take account of your child's age, introduced foods and allergy entries.
- Your child's date of birth, which the App uses together with the information above to select age-appropriate foods.
- Warnings and menu checks the App derives from this information, such as a warning that a dish contains a food marked as an allergen.
3. How We Use Consumer Health Data
We collect and use consumer health data only as necessary to provide the App features you request:
- keeping and displaying your child's food introduction history and allergy entries;
- warning you about foods related to marked allergens;
- selecting and checking menus by age, introduced foods and allergy entries;
- keeping this information available across your devices.
If you choose to include health information in a message to support, we use it only to respond to that message.
We do not use consumer health data for advertising and do not sell it. Analytics events and error reports sent from the App do not include allergy entries, food reactions or other information about your child's health.
4. Sources
- You, when you enter information in the App.
- The App itself, when it derives warnings and menu checks from the information you entered.
- You, when you contact support.
5. Disclosure of Consumer Health Data
We do not share consumer health data with third parties or affiliates, and we do not sell it.
We disclose consumer health data only to a processor that handles it on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Google, which provides our cloud infrastructure: storage of the categories in Section 2 and server processing needed to provide the App. Google also provides the email service through which we receive support messages. Contact information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We may also disclose consumer health data where required by law or by a lawful request of a competent authority.
6. Your Rights
Depending on the law of the state where you live, you have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data;
- access that data;
- receive a list of the third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared it, together with their contact information;
- delete that data;
- withdraw consent where our processing relies on it;
- appeal our decision on your request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
6.1. Deleting Consumer Health Data
To delete your consumer health data, request deletion of your account in the App through “Profile / Security” or on the website: https://feedingstart.com/en/support/#delete-account
The website asks you to confirm ownership of the Google account linked to your profile.
After the request, a 30-day recovery period begins, during which you can sign in and cancel the request. When the period ends, we delete your child's profile together with the complementary feeding diary, allergy entries, introduced food lists and menus. Deletion is completed within 45 days of your request.
Removal of deleted data from the backup systems of our infrastructure provider may take longer, up to 180 days, in accordance with the provider's published terms. Deletion of the account does not cancel a subscription in Google Play; see the Privacy Policy, Section 4.
Deleting your account is also how you stop the collection of consumer health data, including where you wish to withdraw consent.
6.2. Other Requests
To confirm, access or receive the list described above, email feedingstart@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or state that address in your message. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before acting on the request. Do not send identity documents unless we ask for them.
We respond within 45 days of receiving your request. When reasonably necessary, we may extend this period by a further 45 days and will tell you the reason within the first 45 days. Requests are free of charge up to twice in any 12-month period.
A parent or legal guardian may make a request concerning their child's data.
6.3. Appeals
If we decline to act on your request, in whole or in part, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject “Appeal”. We respond to an appeal within 45 days and explain the outcome and the reasons for it.
If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Attorney General of your state:
- Washington: Office of the Attorney General, https://www.atg.wa.gov
- Nevada: Office of the Attorney General, https://ag.nv.gov
- Connecticut: Office of the Attorney General, https://portal.ct.gov/ag
7. Security and Retention
Consumer health data is available only to a session signed in to your account: server-side access rules close it to other users. Access on our side is granted only as necessary to operate the service, provide support and resolve faults. Our cloud infrastructure provider encrypts data in transit and at rest.
Consumer health data is kept for as long as your account exists and is deleted as described in Section 6.1.
8. Changes to This Policy
We update this Policy when the consumer health data we collect, the purposes of its use or its disclosure change. Each version is identified by its number and date at the start of the document. Where applicable law requires your consent to a new purpose, we will ask for it before using consumer health data for that purpose.
