What’s on the site and in the app
- A food guide: when to introduce each food, how to serve it at 6, 9, and 12 months, choking risk, and allergies.
- An Android app: log the foods your baby tries and any reactions, plan meals for the week, and find recipes for your baby’s age.
Where the information comes from
Our pages are based on guidance from health organizations: WHO, NHS, CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), FDA, USDA, EFSA, NIH, AAAAI, and BfR.
We don’t use blogs or commercial websites as sources. Every food page lists the sources it’s based on at the bottom.
How our pages are written
- Every health and safety statement is backed by a source from this list.
- Ages, portions, and choking and allergy warnings are the same in every language.
- Pages are updated when guidance changes or when we find an inaccuracy.
Found a mistake?
Email feedingstart@gmail.com with the page and what’s wrong. We’ll check it against the sources and fix it.
For informational purposes only. Not medical advice. Decide on introducing foods, especially allergens, together with your pediatrician.
